Throughout my profession, I have been driven by intellectual curiosity in developing solutions to complex financial and pricing matters. Currently, I work as FedEx’s Commercial Advisor in APAC to develop strategic target pricing programs to maximize revenue and profitability for the company. I take a consultative approach and understand that communication is important to obtaining alignment with cross-functioning teams. This has allowed me to uncover a customer’s pain points as well as any complications that arise, and coming up with strategies that drive sales to ensuring the business remain competitive in the market. While I enjoy all aspects of my profession, my favourite stage of pricing projects is working with clients to understand the business objectives. I see my role as being an adviser who helps my clients understand better about the business opportunity and its related pricing implications. As we go through that collaborative process, the concepts and ideas start to flow and that’s always the fun part!
